Ikeuchi's solutions for the livestock industry

Ikeuchi is working to improve the animal welfare in the livestock industry,  During summer-time, livestock is often subjective to hard conditions indoor. Without any chance to cool off, they can suffer from heatstress and illnesses. We can provide a simple but effective cooling solution to help those animals get through the summer.  By spraying a semi-dry fog  into livestock barns, we can prevent uneccesary  heatstrokes, bad odor, dust, flies and instead increase the productivity.

Due to its origin in warm and humid Japan, Ikeuchi has a long history of developing and testing cooling applications.  In the 1980s, we developed spray nozzles for fine mist cooling systems.  And later we started to use this spray nozzle system for livestock cooling.

Ceramic KB spray nozzles for a durable result

Ikeuchi developed the first ceramic spray nozzle in 1961, and has since then expanded its use across industries. Ceramics is known for its high wear resistance and resistance towards chemicals. This makes them ideal for lovestock applications which are often subject to harsch environments.

Ammonia reduction

Research has found that ammonia can be reduced on dairy-farms by as much as 40% by spraying 10 liter of water per m2 per day.   Ikeuchi has developed a spraying solution for this application which can spray in a squared pattern and thereby cover individual barn cubicles perfectly. Due to a sensor, the system can automatically turn the sprayers on and off during the day to maximize the intended effect.

Product applications for livestock:

  1. Dairy-barn cooling.
  2. Livestock cooling of pigs.
  3. Livestock cooling of chickens.
  4. Ammonia reduction on dairy-farms.
  5. Chicken hatch and disinfection.
  6. Chicken hatch and humidity control.
