Compressed air is a form of energy storage due to its ability to perform work when decompressed. The production of compressed air is carried out, for the most part, with electric power through a compressor. Compressed air nozzles are nozzles that incorporate the compressed air technology as their main form of air blow booster.
The great advantage of the use of IKEUCHI technical air nozzles is that they have a lower consumption of compressed air flow compared to a free exhaust pipe. Therefore, it decreases the installation’s operating costs, and implicitly, reduces the energy costs.
TAIFUJet® Air Booster is a line of compressed air nozzles. Their unique and compact design takes the surrounding air and multiplies the airflow, producing a powerful air blow with high spray impact and minimal air consumption. Thanks to the latest Ikeuchi innovation, the TAIFUJet® Air Booster nozzles are implemented with a system that functions on minimal noise levels.

A general descriptive overview of the TAIFUJet® Air Booster
The TAIFUJet® Air Booster air nozzle products line is suitable for a wide range of applications, from which the most common ones are:
- Air Cooling applications;
- Blow-off applications such as drying, dust or liquids;
- Cleaning applications.
Each air nozzle is specialized for multiple types of applications, mostly depending on the design of the compressed air nozzle. The flat design is recommended for uniform objects that do not contain sharp angles, bends or concave / convex surfaces. For the round design, or conical, this is applied in cases where pieces have irregular shapes or recesses.
The materials from which the TAIFUJet® Air Booster nozzles are produced are from various types of stainless steel or plastic. This diversity of materials adapts to most of the needs of the industry. Choosing the adequate material should be considered following the given parameters:
- Application temperature.
- Possibility of mechanical or chemical aggressions.
- Environments with hygienic requirements.
- Need for absence of metallic elements.
The pressure system is another factor that can distinguish between what type of TAIFUJet® Air Booster nozzle would be applicable to your needs. The pressure capacity that a nozzle can support differs from model to model. The air pressure also influences the manner in which the air flows, depending on whether the pressure levels are higher or lower.
A lower pressure does not associate with a decrease in airflow, as they are not dependent variables. Actually, the decrease in pressure is compensated by the increase in airflow volume. The unique design of the TAIFUJet® Air Booster nozzles create a uniform and efficient air flow distribution. This ensures that the air blow effect remains unchanged.
The uniform flow distribution not only enhances the installation’s efficiency, but also provides a return on investment within a short period of time.
An important aspect after the selection of the nozzle and during the installation phase, consists in ensuring that the nozzle is provided with the suitable power and connection elements that it requires. Otherwise, it is useless to have the right nozzle for an application and connect it with accessories and reductions that will generate a significant pressure drop, limit the flow, or do not have an adequate air supply tube section.
After the installation of a nozzle is completed, it is recommended to adjust the pressure regulator to a minimum, in order to ensure that the application will function properly. Incorporating this adjustment will lead to a significant energy saving and decrease in noise levels.
In order to comply with the OSHA noise level requirements and regulations, Ikeuchi designed and tested its compressed air driven nozzles to make sure of the level of noise produced. By doing so, the compressed air driven nozzles provide a reduction in noise between -9 dB(A) and -38 dB(A) from the overall total noise level, thus, abiding by the OSHA noise regulations of 8 hours workday exposure to noise levels below the average 85 dB(A).
