Customer testimonial: Cost efficient solution for fire-prevention sprinkler on LNG vessel

With the mandatory implementation of SOx regulations for LNG and other gas-fuelled vessels, even ship types previously exempt from requiring fire-fighting sprinkler systems (such as bulk carriers for coal and similar cargoes) now needed to comply. One customer was looking for a more cost-efficient solution for adding fire-prevention sprinklers. Ikeuchi suggested to apply the wide-angle spray nozzle ‘UZUJP’. This offers an extremely large effective coverage area and abundant spray volume. This way the customer could reduce the number of spray nozzles and reduce cost significantly.
