Ikeuchi proposed a BIMV spray nozzle unit capable of automating the application process. Initially, the customer was concerned about excessive oil build-up on the moulds and the high frequency of equipment maintenance caused by nozzle clogging. However, we resolved these issues by selecting a two-fluid nozzle that ‘applies small quantities’ and is ‘resistant to clogging’. Furthermore, we incorporated an automatic on/off function into the unit, combined with a sensor, to ensure that the oil is not left spraying continuously.
