Lubrication of conveyor belt
A soft drink manufacturer was facing challenges in a process where lubricant was sprayed onto a conveyor belt using nozzles.
The application of lubricant via spraying is carried out to ensure the bottle products flow smoothly by making the conveyor surface slippery in advance. However, on occasions when they reduced the spray pressure of the lubricant to minimise consumption, the liquid failed to spread sufficiently, causing the bottles to become stuck on the conveyor. This would cause a line stop and lower productivity.

The KB-series can cover a large area at a low pressure which makes it ideal for covering a conveyor belt. KB sprays the finest mist of all our single-fluid spray nozzles.
The solution
Ikeuchi recommended the ‘KB Series’ nozzles, which ensures thorough coverage and reliable application even at low pressures.
This model produces the finest mist of all our single-fluid nozzles and has a low spray volume. Even with a low-pressure spray of 0.2 MPa, the liquid spreads at an angle of 60°, enabling application over a wide area using a smaller volume.
