Customer testimonial from CeramDry

CeramDry is a specialist in high-performance drying plants for the ceramic industry. They are involved with the whole process from design to construction and commissioning. CeramDry was established in 2010 in Krumbach in Bavaria in Germany. The company has since then served international manufacturers from all sectors of heavy-clay, sanitary and technical ceramics, which includes well-known clients such as Villeroy & Boch, Geberit and IVRA.

The problem

Some of the customers of CeramDry were experiencing some issues with cracks in their products due to dryness. The cracks always occurred when the humidity in the dryer could not be kept at the set value and the products were dried too quickly. For a time, they addressed the moisture issue by installing a hydraulic spraying system. However, due to the large droplet size being sprayed, the product surface would worsen and result in poor quality.

The solution

After consulting with Ikeuchi Europe, CeramDry started to test our BIM pneumatic spray nozzles with one of their clients. The test results were very positive as it had solved both the issue with humidity as well as with product wetting and quality reduction. According to Clemens Jans from CeramDry, they were happy with the high quality, long durability, super fine droplets and the non-dripping effect. After a succesful testing period at the customer site, CeramDry decided to expand this solution to other customers. These customers included Villeroy & Boch and Geberit, who both produce sanitary ware, as well as IVRA.s.r.l, who is involved with refractory products.

“We are happy with the high quality, long durability, super fine droplets and non-dripping

The result

According to CeramDry, their customers are very satisfied with the BIM moisturization solution as their product quality has improved significantly. Both sanitary ware manufacturers experienced that the scrap that was previously caused by the spray nozzles, dropped to zero after installing the new system. At IVRA.s.r.l, they had always had trouble to achieve a lower crack rate in their products. However, after installing the new BIM spray nozzles, the crack rate was completely eliminated.

“Our customers are happy with the nozzles as their product quality improved significant”.
